Welcome to Certyfy. By creating an organization account or issuing certificates through this platform, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully — they describe what Certyfy does, what it does not do, and what we expect from you.

1. What Certyfy provides

Certyfy provides certificate issuance and verification technology only. We give organizations tools to create, store, and let third parties verify digital certificates. Certyfy does not independently assess, audit, or validate the underlying achievement, course, training, or event described in a certificate (unless the issuer has separately been marked as a Verified Issuer).

2. Your responsibilities as an issuer

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legitimacy, and authorization of every certificate you issue.
You confirm that you are authorized to act on behalf of the organization whose name and branding you use.
Certificates must only be issued for legitimate programs, courses, events, training, or achievements.
You must not impersonate other organizations or use logos, trademarks, or names you do not own or are not authorized to use.

3. Prohibited use

You may not use Certyfy to:

Issue fake, fraudulent, or misleading certificates.
Impersonate individuals, organizations, or government bodies.
Distribute malware, spam, or illegal content through certificate metadata or assets.
Scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with platform operations.
Use the platform in any manner that violates applicable laws.

4. Fake or fraudulent certificates

Issuing certificates that misrepresent qualifications, achievements, or affiliations is a serious violation. Certyfy cooperates with law enforcement and affected parties in cases of fraud. Organizations found issuing fraudulent certificates will have their accounts permanently suspended and may be reported to relevant authorities.

5. Certyfy is not liable for issuer content

Certyfy is not responsible for fraudulent, unauthorized, misleading, or incorrect certificates created by users of the platform. The issuing organization is fully and solely liable for the content of every certificate.

6. Misuse and account suspension

Certyfy may, at its sole discretion, suspend, restrict, or remove any account, organization, or certificate suspected of misuse, fraud, impersonation, or any violation of these terms. We reserve the right to terminate accounts without prior notice in cases of serious or repeated violations.

7. What verification means

A successful verification on Certyfy confirms that the certificate exists in Certyfy's records and has not been revoked or expired. It does not mean Certyfy has independently validated the underlying achievement, unless the issuer's profile shows a Verified Issuer badge. Verified Issuer status only indicates that Certyfy has performed basic checks on the organization itself, not on every certificate they issue.

8. Organization verification

New organization accounts start as Pending Verification. You may issue certificates while pending, but recipients and third parties will see an "Issuer verification pending" label on the verification page. Verified status is granted by Certyfy after reviewing the information you provide.

9. Verification service disclaimer

Certyfy provides verification services on a best-effort basis. While we strive for continuous availability, we do not guarantee 100% uptime. Verification data is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We recommend that organizations and recipients independently maintain records of issued certificates.

10. Uptime and service availability

Certyfy aims to maintain high availability for certificate issuance and verification. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance, security updates, or unforeseen technical issues may result in temporary downtime. We will communicate planned maintenance in advance where feasible.

11. Data and storage

Certificate data, organization details, and uploaded assets (such as your logo) are stored on Certyfy's infrastructure to allow public verification. You must not upload illegal content or personal data of third parties without a lawful basis.

12. Intellectual property

Certyfy retains all rights to its platform, branding, code, and technology. You retain ownership of your organization's branding and certificate designs. By using Certyfy, you grant us a limited license to display your organization name and logo on public verification pages and within the platform as necessary to provide our services.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Certyfy and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, loss of data, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to Certyfy in the 12 months preceding the claim.

14. Plan access and billing

Paid plans are billed through Razorpay as one-time access payments per billing period. Monthly plans give 1 month of access; Growth Annual gives 1 year. Payments do not automatically renew — you must renew manually before your plan expiry date to continue access. By purchasing a plan, you agree to our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If a plan is not renewed, new certificate issuance and bulk uploads are paused; previously issued certificates remain publicly verifiable.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notice.
